Excuse the Mess is an award winning music podcast hosted by composer Ben Corrigan recently awarded a British Podcast Award in the Best Arts & Culture category. ETM is all about getting to know some of today's most exciting music makers - talking about them and their music, hearing excerpts throughout the episode followed by a music challenge; to co-compose a new piece of music in a day using only one instrument in a matter of hours. Listeners hear the journey of the new track, starting with the 'blank page' and finishing, hopefully, with a new piece of music.
Series one features the likes of Mira Calix, Matt Calvert, Robert Ames, Mark Lockheart, Douglas Dare, Laura Jurd and Hidden Notes vol.1 artists Manu Delago, Emily Hall and Emilie Levienaise-Farrouch.
Excuse the Mess will be interviewing some of the artists during the weekend setting up shop at Sound Records which will be aired as a special series.
